Kids These Days!

Uh oh, Internet, a friend just linked to this article by Time.com, and I'm very concerned.

"The class of 2014 doesn't wear watches, doesn't write in cursive and has no idea why Nirvana is awesome. That's according to Beloit College's annual Mindset List, aimed at helping teachers understand today's cultural references. TIME takes a look at other bygone experiences today's kids will miss."
  1. Camera Film
  2. Landline Phones
  3. Real Books
  4. Being Lost
  5. Music Videos on MTV
  6. Walkmans
  7. The Glory Days of Nick at Nite
  8. Tan M&Ms
  9. Czechoslovakia
  10. Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Terminator
Walkmans and tan M&Ms I can wrap my head around, but when did they stop teaching cursive?! Can I sign a petition or something? When did writing stop being useful?! I mean, really. Really!

Get more indignant by reading more about their Walkman-sized holes in their souls here.

I just read an article of the 20 yr old actor who plays Kurt on Glee. He said he didn't really grow up with Britney Spears... what?! Not that he missed out... but still
